This is About You

Empty Cups and Self Care.
Before the holiday rush begins, make a little room for yourself.
We're heading into the busiest stretch of the year.
Thanksgiving is around the corner. Christmas won't be far behind. Calendars start filling up, shopping lists grow, family plans multiply, and somehow the season that's supposed to be about joy can leave us feeling like we need a vacation from it.
So here's a friendly reminder from Sierra Life Guide:
You can't pour from an empty cup. And sometimes, the best thing you can do for everyone around you is take a little time to fill yours back up.
Not with another project. Not with another obligation. Just a little time to breathe, reset, and enjoy being where you are.
And around here, we have so many options to do this well.
You Time.
Start with a good cup of coffee or tea at a local spot. One that’s relaxed and void of lines and anxiety. Bring a journal. Find a trail and walk until you're ready to turn around. Listen to the birds or flowing water. Bundle up and sit on your deck with a book. Go have breakfast by yourself at your favorite cafe. Count your blessings. Meditate. Laugh. Cry. Reset.
Leave room for you. You just need a little space to step outside your usual, crazy routine.
Because we tend to be better versions of ourselves when we're rested, refreshed, and not running on fumes.
And the people we love usually get the best of us when we've made a little room to take care of ourselves, too. We see you, be good to yourself.
Until next Thursday,
Jerad
